Membership is open to any adult. The Membership fee is $25, and is valid for one-year from the date received. The revenue received from the membership fee is used to offset club costs incurred and enables the planning of events throughout the year. All members will receive a Membership Card. Having a Membership Card guarantees a discounted charge for all Club events. Lost cards may be replaced for a $5 fee.

The purpose of this club is to preserve, encourage and promote the education of the Shag and to provide social activities at which emphasis is placed  on the dance. The Lake Lure Shag Club encourages all members to support the club by  serving on committees carrying out "fun work".
