About Us

The Lake Lure Shag Club meets every month at the Lake Lure Inn and Spa. Check our LLSC Events for the date and time.

We currently have 70 registered members, with others hoping to join soon.  So, please come out and show your support.  It’s always fun to come and see your neighbors and to see how all of our shag students are progressing with their dance lessons.

Dance lessons are being taught on Tuesday nights at the Mountains Branch Library. We will be starting another beginner class soon, so if you are interested, please Contact Us.

LLSC desires that its members be involved, support LLSC activities and efforts, and aid in promoting the club's prosperity.

North Carolina Shag License Plates: The North Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles will allow the issuance of a personalized license plate for Shaggers.  Once 300 applications have been received, the process of design and numbering will begin.  All you will need to do is fill out an application and pay the $15 fee.  It will probably take several months to get the plates issued, but it will be worth the wait.  If you need an application, Contact Us.
